For Kids' Sake is a fundraising project sponsored by the Dayemi
Tariqat. For over two decades, the Dayemi Tariqat has provided financial assistance
for the basic necessities of food, clothing, shelter, healthcare and education for
Bangladeshi orphans and students. In addition, important organizational skills have
been taught to Bangladeshi administrators and caregivers to help develop systems of
self-reliance. Together, the strengths of the Eastern and Western cultures enrich so
many lives. We in the West have greatly benefited from the spiritual wealth of our
Eastern brothers and sisters. In spite of their dire poverty, their bright spirits are awe-inspiring.
The Dayemi Tariqat is a United States based 501(C)3, not-for-profit,
religious, educational and service organization. Founded by Sheikh Din Muhammad
Abdullah al-Dayemi, the Dayemi Tariqat is the Western branch of the
Dayemi Organization with an intentional spiritual community in Southern
Illinois that has branches in the United States and Germany. The mission
of the Dayemi Tariqat is to teach the path of Sufism while building
models of spiritually-centered, sustainable, self-reliant communities
where all are provided their fundamental birthrights. The Dayemi
Tariqat has been supporting social service projects of the Dayemi
Organization Bangladesh since the early 1990’s.
Sheikh Din Muhammad Abdullah al-Dayemi (known affectionately by his followers as “Murshid”) teaches the lessons of Spiritual
Love, God Realization and Social Action as taught to him by his Master,
the late Hazrat Shah Sufi Sayed Dayemullah (ra). Sheikh Dayemullah was
the former Grand Master of the Dayera Sharif, a 750-year-old Islamic
dynasty, headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Sheikh Din is the current
spiritual successor as well as the Western representative of the Dayera
Sharif, that incorporates four Sufi taruq or spiritual lineages: Qadria
Rahimia, Qadria Mun’imia, Chistia ’Aliya and Naqshabandi Mujadaddia.
Since 1992, Murshid has been teaching the principles of Islamic Sufism
in the United States, Europe and South Asia. Islamic Sufism is the path
of Self-realization by the inner awakening of the heart for the
realization of Allah (God) and the service to humanity. Therefore,
Sufism is the practice of True Islam, the peace found through one’s
complete surrender to Allah’s will.
Murshid also personifies and continues to carry forth the neo-humanistic
vision of his first Teacher, Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, the late, great
Renaissance man and Yogic Master.
